Hi Jess. Great post. I was lucky enough to hear Scott speaking the night before at a smaller event for the AMA-CT, and the net result was the same. Tons of inspiration, validation and motivation. He actually inspired me to publish my first blog post (on unmarketing, naturally,): http://www.bookingauthors.com/blog.

I hope professionals everywhere embrace these new ideas of what marketing is, and more importantly, what it doesn't need to be. I work with many micro-business owners and solopreneurs and so many struggle with marketing themselves. My goal is to help them see that being themselves and genuinely desiring to create relationships and connections will not only bring more business, but business that they enjoy with people they really like! Another piece of common sense that's not so common.
